Washington, DC (SportsNetwork.com) - Emma Meesseman had 22 points to lead four
scorers in double figures and the Washington Mystics beat the Connecticut Sun
69-63 on Friday night.
The Mystics trailed 33-31 at halftime but outscored the Sun 23-10 in the third quarter behind 10 points from Meesseman and nine from Bria Hartley, who ended with 12 points.
Meesseman added a game-high 13 rebounds and Kia Vaughn scored 12 points for the Mystics, who have won two in a row on the heels of a 1-7 stretch that followed a 74-66 road victory over Connecticut on June 5.
Katie Douglas scored 18 points to lead the Sun, who had a six-game winning streak snapped. Their last loss was to Washington.
