had 20 points and 11 rebounds to guide the Los Angeles Sparks to a 65-57
victory against the Seattle Storm at Staples Center on Tuesday.
The 40 combined points came on 15-for-27 shooting.
Armintie Herrington chipped in with eight points for the Sparks, who came into the game losing five of their last six.
Tameka Johnson was the only Storm player to score in double-digits with 11 points, adding five assists in defeat, Seattle has now lost three of its last four.
Los Angeles led 32-26 at the break and were up 10 with 5:43 to go in the third, but Seattle closed the quarter on a 17-8 run to pull within a point going into the fourth.
A Parker layup in between four Ogwumike free throws put Los Angeles up 11 with 4:26 left to play and the hosts didn't look back. Seattle was held to just two late field goals the rest of the way -- both coming after L.A. stretched its edge to 13.
