each scored 13 points to help the San Antonio Stars to a 72-69 win over the
Los Angeles Sparks on Sunday.
Becky Hammon added 11 points and five assists for the Stars, who scored 20 points off of 23 LA turnovers and held the Sparks to 1-for-11 shooting from beyond the arc.
Nneka Ogwumike scored a game-high 24 points with 11 rebounds and Jantel Lavender supplied a 14-point, 13-rebound double-double in the setback.
LA led 22-18 after a quarter of play, but San Antonio opened the second on a 12-2 run to take a 30-24 lead.
The Sparks worked their way back, however, and trailed 40-38 at the break.
Neither team ran away with it in the third, with Lavender's layup capping the scoring and bringing the hosts within two, 56-54, heading into the fourth.
Ogwumike made a jumper from in close with 3 1/2 minutes left in the fourth to give the Sparks a 69-67 lead. They would go scoreless from there.
Robinson converted a layup with under a minute to play to tie the game at 69- apiece, then put in the game-winner with eight ticks remaining before splitting a pair of free throws to account for the final margin.
