Toliver, Sparks surge past Liberty

Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Kristi Toliver buried five 3-pointers en
route to a team-high 29 points, as the Los Angeles Sparks downed the New York
Liberty, 97-89, on Thursday at Staples Center.

Candace Parker registered 20 points, eight rebounds and five assists, while Nneka Ogwumike added 15 points and six boards for the Sparks, who extended their regular-season winning streak at Staples Center to 17 games.

Cappie Pondexter poured in a game-high 34 points, with Kelsey Bone supplying 20 points and eight rebounds off the bench for the Liberty, who fell to 1-5 on the road this season. <
