We all envy 16- and 17-year-olds for how efficiently their bodies function. They eat everything, they sleep like proverbial logs, they recover from minor injuries almost instantaneously, and their bounceback time from a game is maybe an hour.

USA Basketball announced thirty-five top prep players have accepted invitations to participate in the 2012 U17 World Championship Team Trials being held in Colorado Springs, Colo., May 17-20.
Thirteen players return from previous USA Basketball gold medal teams including 2 time gold medalist Diamond Deshields of Norcross High School (Norcross, Ga.) who played for team USA on the 2010 FIBA Americas U18 Championship and the 2011 FIBA U19 World Championship.
