Kelsey Mitchell

2013 Summer Invitational

Mitchell, a left-handed member of Full Court's 2014 Fresh 50, made the shot of day one, a spinning, right-handed mid-key floater. What makes her so special is her ability to go right about as strongly as left. You can add to that good court vision and the offense of a shooting guard. With her father recently added to the Ohio State staff, it would be a surprise to see her sign with any other program this fall.  - Bob Corwin

2013 Boo Williams Invitational

The All Ohio guard, ranked No. 4 in the Full Court Fresh 50, is able to score the ball via drive (primarily to her strong left hand) or the three-ball nearly anytime she wants. She also appears to be more than willing to dish the ball off during penetration. Defensively she is more than adequate to guard her opposite number with active feet and medium-solid frame. At times she still will force the action a bit too much, as happened at the end of the game versus Cy-Fair.  Regardless, she will be an obvious choice for high school All-American honors next spring assuming she avoids injury. - Bob Corwin

2012 Boo Williams Invitational

The only sophomore on the All-Tournament team, Mitchell, a lefty lead guard, can shoot the three or take the ball to the hole primarily going left.  She also has the ability to dish the ball at the last moment while attacking the basket at high speed.  Still a young player, Mitchell needs to learn not to rush the quarter-court offense, but she is currently a top prospect for the class of 2014.  - Bob Corwin

Mitchell can score the ball, she has a tough good frame and is aggressive.  Some may argue she's not a PG at the next level but she is so good you're going to want the ball in her hands. - Kenny Kallina

USA Basketball

Participated in 2011 U16 Team Trials

Kelsey, who had 35 scholarship offers as of the end of the regular season, was Associated Press Division I first-team all-state this past season.
