Predicting just what's going to happen to 17-year-olds four, five or ten years down the road is at best a shot in the dark. But this is what it looks like for the Class of 2005 ...
1. Erica Arriaran, 5-10 G, Norco CA*: Arriaran didn't play in high school last season, choosing to spend the school year getting most of her tough classes out of the way while home schooling, but she's back now -- and ready to go. A strong point guard who some compare to Diana Taurasi, she will make some college coach very happy.
2. Courtney Paris, 6-4 C, Piedmont CA*: Paris, the daughter of former NFL lineman Bubba Paris, and twin of sixth-ranked Ashley, is a dominant post with great hands and coordination. As a package, the Paris twins will have an enormous impact wherever they decide to go to school.
3. Kia Vaughn, 6-4 C, St. Michael's NY: A bundle of potential, Vaughn isn't quite as developed as the Parises, but her ceiling is extremely high.
4. Juanita Ward, 5-11 F, Callaway MS: Mississippi has sent a steady stream of outstanding players to the SEC and beyond, and Ward is just the latest in a long line.
5. Marrisa Coleman, 6-1 F, St. John's MD: A talented player who stands out in an area full of D1 potential.
