After 38 years of roaming the sidelines, Pat Summitt officially stepped down as Head Coach of the Tennessee Lady Volunteers on Wednesday. During the official press conference held the following day, she symbolically handed her whistle over to her top assistant, Holly Warlick, who has been by her side for 27 seasons and was also a former player. Summitt will assume new duties as head coach emeritus, activiely helping with recruiting and continuing to be a champion for the women's basketball program at the University of Tennessee.
