DENVER -- The Pepsi Center here near the foothills of the Rocky Mountains is an appropriate name of the arena for Tuesday night's NCAA title game between Baylor (39-0), the overall No. 1 seed in the NCAA women's basketball tournament, and Notre Dame (35-3), the overall second No. 1 seed, because the showdown between two of the season's top national powers is expected to have lots of pop.

NEW ORLEANS, La. --- Katrina McClain, Georgia Basketball's first-ever National Player of the Year in 1987 who went on to become a three-time U.S. Olympian, has been elected to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. The Hall's Class of 2012 was announced on Monday in New Orleans in association with the NCAA Men's Final Four.
