Purdue's Mingo Honored as Courageous Student-Athlete by NCAS

Purdue senior forward Drey Mingo has been honored by the National Consortium for Academics and Sports (NCAS) as the 2012 recipient of its Courageous Student-Athlete Award. The award as announced in connection with today's 25th anniversary of National Student-Athlete Day. Mingo's honor was one of several "Giant Steps Awards" announced by the NCAS in observance of the occasion.
 

EMU Head Women's Basketball Coach AnnMarie Gilbert Resigns

Eastern Michigan University Head Women's Basketball Coach AnnMarie Gilbert has announced her decision to resign, effective Friday, April 6, 2012.

“I would like to thank AnnMarie for the success she has brought the program,” said Dr. Derrick Gragg, Director of Intercollegiate Athletics. “AnnMarie has worked hard to help our student athletes succeed, and I wish her well in her future endeavors.”
