The first Pac-12 conference tournament starts Wednesday afternoon at USC’s Galen Center and what this one lacks in NCAA bubble intrigue it hopes to make up for with its overall high level of play. At least, that’s what the 12 participants and the league would prefer. The much maligned conference is known equally for Stanford’s continued dominance and the recent lack of post-season threats from anyone not named Stanford.
BATON ROUGE - The LSU women's basketball family has a new member. On Tuesday head coach Nikki Caldwell gave birth to a little girl.
Justice Simone Fargas was born at 5:44 a.m. and weights in at 6 pounds, 15 ounces. Caldwell and the baby are healthy and resting comfortably with her longtime boyfriend Justin Fargas, a former NFL player for the Oakland Raiders. The baby, which was due March 24th, arrived nearly three weeks early.
