2012 WNBA Draft review with Alex "the W Guy" Chambers

The big winner in the 2012 WNBA Draft was the Tulsa Shock, they gathered enough size and athleticism to totally revamp the look in Oklahoma.  Prediction: they have their first ever winning season, they've gone 9-59 since moving from Detroit to Tulsa, and could make the playoffs for the first time since the move south.

The big loser in the draft was the New York Liberty.  They all but wasted their first round pick on a Kelley Cain who is injury prone and was only good enough to play in the "B" league in Turkey.  Sounds like the Liberty management is trying to tank this year in an effort to be first in line for next year's draft which is full of promise with players like Brittney Griner, Skylar Diggins and Elena Delle Donne.  Who know's maybe Cain will prove everyone wrong and be the surprise of this draft.  Here are all my reactions to the Draft.... About Alex Chambers:  Alex is a fanatical supporter of the WNBA (primarily a Phoenix Mercury fan) who resides in Arizona, counting down the days until the start of the WNBA season every blistering hot 110 degree summer. What began several years ago as a gift in the form of Phoenix Mercury season tickets, turned into an infatuation that has continued ever since. In 2009, he was dubbed the "Superfan" as he traveled the US to every WNBA venue, and subsequently wrote a book about his adventures three years later entitled, "13 Teams: One Man's Journey with the WNBA."
