Louisville logs lopsided win over Idaho

Iowa City, IA (SportsNetwork.com) - Shoni Schimmel registered a double-double
with 10 points and a game-high 11 rebounds as the Louisville Lady Cardinals
crushed the Idaho Vandals, 88-42, in the first round of the NCAA Tournament's
Louisville Regional at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

Sara Hammond stepped up with 16 points for third-seeded Louisville (31-4), followed by Jude Schimmel with 14 points and Asia Taylor 13 and seven boards. Antonita Slaughter converted all three of his shots behind the 3-point line as she tallied another 11 points in the rout.

The 14th-seeded Vandals (25-9) were led by Ali Forde with 16 points and eight rebounds,
