Hooper powers Nebraska past Fresno State

Los Angeles, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Jordan Hooper scored 23 points and
brought down 11 rebounds, as the Nebraska Cornhuskers downed the Fresno State
Bulldogs, 74-55, in first-round action of the NCAA Tournament at Pauley

Emily Cady (15 points, 11 rebounds) and Rachel Theriot (10 points, 12 assists) also tallied double-doubles for the fourth-seeded Cornhuskers (26-6), who will face BYU in the second round. Tear'a Laudermill chipped in 13 points to the winning effort.

For 13th-seeded Fresno State (22-11), Taylor Thompson was the only player in double figures with 14 points to go with nine boards.
