New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Connecticut is still a unanimous choice as
the top-ranked team in women's college basketball, according to the latest
Associated Press poll.

The defending national champion Huskies remained undefeated with a pair of wins last week, rolling past SMU before a 17-point victory over Louisville in a rematch of last year's national title game.

UConn again received all 36 first-place votes and a total of 900 points from a nationwide media panel.

Notre Dame, also unbeaten, kept a firm hold of the No. 2 position, while Duke moved up two spots to third and is followed by Louisville and South Carolina. Stanford slipped three spots to sixth after Sunday's loss at Washington, with Baylor, Tennessee, Maryland and North Carolina State completing the top 10.

The second 10 consists of Penn State, Oklahoma State, West Virginia, Texas A&M, Arizona State, Vanderbilt, North Carolina, Kentucky, LSU and Gonzaga. Arizona State and North Carolina each dropped four spots, while Texas A&M moved up five places.

Nebraska, California, Purdue, St. John's and Michigan State are the last five teams in the poll. St. John's is the lone newcomer, replacing Middle Tennessee.
