Knoxville, TN (SportsNetwork.com) - Cierra Burdick supplied 16 points, seven
rebounds and four assists to help No. 10 Tennessee take a 70-60 victory over
Arkansas on Thursday at Thompson-Boling Arena.

Meighan Simmons matched Burdick with 16 points, while Isabelle Harrison and Andraya Carter contributed 12 and 10 points, respectively, for the Lady Volunteers (17-4, 6-2 SEC), who have won three straight.

Jessica Jackson paced the Razorbacks (15-6, 2-6) with 16 points, while Keira Peak posted 12 points and six boards in the setback, Arkansas' fifth in its last six games.

Calli Berna buried a 3-pointer under three minutes into the second half to get Arkansas within 40-39, but Tennessee answered with a 19-9 burst that Simmons capped with a 3-pointer for a 59-48 lead with just over six minutes to play.

The home team held Arkansas at bay from there, never allowing the Razorbacks to get closer than six the rest of the way.

Arkansas led for a large portion of the first half, but Tennessee closed the frame with five straight points to take a 38-36 lead into the break.
